A favourite Christmas tradition in our household is to spend an evening driving around taking in all the wonderful and creative Christmas light displays at businesses and homes throughout Greater Victoria.

Each year, the Times Colonist newspaper publishes their map of the best Christmas light displays that stretches from downtown Victoria, out to the West Shore, and all the way up to Landsend Road in North Saanich.

This year’s map includes two routes, a commercial and residential tour. Along each tour, there are specially marked properties that won their categories in the Christmas Light Display contest, including “Best Property Illumination”, “Best Figurines”, “Best Street Display”, “Completely Decorated Home”, and more!

This is a great way to spend an evening, and the kids (and those adults young at heart!) are sure to be amazed at all the amazing light displays.
