One Wave Festival (Sept 22, 2012)
The fifth annual One Wave Festival returns to Victoria from 12.00pm – 8.00pm September 22nd in Spirit Square.
One Wave is a dynamic and interactive all ages event that is made up of storytelling, live art, a community art project, interactive music making, and winter veggie seed planting. Local bands and musicians play into the evening.
From noon till 4.00pm, the square will be a buzz with performances by Janet Marie Rogers, Red Spring Duo, Juniper Tree storytelling, and Esquimalt Nation Dancers. The One Wave Village of artists and community groups includes Indigenous arts, face-painting, and a community art project. Be sure to check out the World Fisheries Trust’s seaquarium, where you can meet and greet sea creatures.
Then from 4.00pm till 8.00pm, local bands take the stage and share some tunes.
