Mayfair Mall Drive-In Movies (2012 Season)
For the 5th year in a row, Mayfair Mall is hosting their annual summer drive-in movie event. The movies this year are in support of the Canadian Cancer Society, Cops for Cancer, Tour de Rock. Parking passes are available from guest services on the Saturday before each show. They are free, but a donation is greatly appreciated.
A new feature for this years Drive-In is that your parking pass is also a Mayfair Mall gift card. After parking your car, bring your gift card to guest services, and you will receive a gift card to be used at any store in Mayfair Mall, for FREE! Gift cards are given at random and vary in value from $10 to $50, and is only valid on the day listed on the parking pass.
If you haven’t been to one of these events before, you should definitely try it, and they’re great fun for the whole family. You have two choices, you can drive-in (hence the name) and watch the movie from your car, or you can pull up a chair (and maybe a blanket too), and watch the movie from the front row. There are audio speakers so you’ll be able to hear the movie without having to bring a radio. If you do decide to bring your car, you will be allowed to start parking at 6pm, with the movies starting around 9.30pm-10.00pm, or whenever it gets dark enough to start playing.
