For fans of locally-produced food and drink, the setting for the 15th annual FarmFolk CityFolk Feast of Fields is Alderlea Farm in the Cowichan Valley on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Nestled in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, Alderlea Farm and Cafe is a biodynamic and organic community farm. The productive farm supports 200 local families, 24 weeks of the year through its Community Supported Agriculture program.

Feast of Fields is one of the largest and longest-standing food and wine festivals on Vancouver Island. The event celebrates the very best of British Columbia – from chefs to food artisans, farmers to forgers, and vintners to brewers from around the Island.

Buses will be leaving from Mayfair Mall (Southwest corner, across from Denny’s) to take you to the farm. Buses will begin loading one bus at a time at 12:15. You MUST have purchased a bus ticket in advance in order to board the bus. For the return trip, buses will start loading at Marley Farm at 4:45, but will not depart until each individual bus is full.

TTickets are $85 each for adults and $15 each for children aged 7-12 while children 6 and younger are free. Shuttle Bus tickets are an additional $15 (includes return fair). Click here for more information, and to purchase tickets.

This event sells out every year, so be sure to get your tickets early!
