Adrienne’s Tea Garden review
Adrienne’s Tea Garden is a quaint, English style restaurant located in the recently expanded Mattick’s Farm. This restaurant is a hit with the locals, and is seemingly always busy, especially for lunch. If the weather is nice and you’re lucky enough and there is a table free, you can enjoy your lunch on their patio.
I recently stopped there for lunch before a round of golf at the neighbouring Cordova Bay Golf Course. Their menu offers eggs benedict, french toast, homemade soup, freshly prepared salads, seafood crepes, wraps and veggie burgers, as well as high teas. I chose the chicken wrap ($11.49), which comes with BBQ chicken, lettuce, tomato, red onion, sweet pepper and cheddar cheese wrapped in a soft tortilla. You have a wide choice of sides to pick from, including a garden salad, waldorf salad, potato salad, vegetables and dip, fruit garnish, or a cup of the soup of the day. I went with the garden salad as I wanted something light to eat before walking for 18 holes of golf. The salad came with a dill dressing on the side and it was nothing out of the ordinary, much like a salad out of a bag. The wrap was fresh and the chicken was moist and not overcooked. The chicken wasn’t cooked with the BBQ sauce though, it was added on top of it afterwards. Even so, the sauce added a nice kick to it, and it was a very tasty wrap.
The service was friendly and attentive, and our glasses were never empty. My wrap was a little on the pricey side at over $11, but it was tasty. The other meals at my table all had similar reactions – the food was ok but nothing to write home about. I would classify this as a no-frills restaurant with average food with slightly high prices. They must be doing something right to be so busy all the time, but I didn’t see what that was during my meal. There is also an attached deli and bakery offering freshly baked goods. I didn’t try any, but they looked good!

Good to know Steph, thanks! We’ll have to give them another try for breakfast.
